Why is it scary and giving up 2 number 1's darn sure isn't a great move..

Yea two number 1s is a pretty big price. But the Skins seems to have no problem trading away draft picks. But after i saw what Jackson did to Jenkins, i became a believer. He would be like Plaxico Burress joining the Giants a few years ago and becoming at thorn in our side. McNabb, Jackson, Moss and Cooley in the middle...that’s some firepower.

And they've got some old running backs who might have something left if you rotate them.

An experienced coach, experienced QB, a new direction ... Who knows? It wouldn't surprise me if the Commanders put together a halfway decent season this year.

Do not want to see Vincent Jackson on the Skins.

Him and McNabb could remind us all of the McNabb to Terrell Owens combo from 2004.

me neither, but if they do for whatever reason, i think it will cost the skins a number 1, and 3 this year, and number 2 the following year at least

remember a few years ago when they were having trouble with their pass rusher, and his price was steep too to get him

their gm is real tough on trading his players, for the chargers

Jackson is a very good player.

But McNabb is no Phillip Rivers, at this point in their careers it's not even close.

And Jackson isn't putting that team over the top.

Giving up 2 #1s for a WR is a monumentally stupid move. We should all hope the Commanders make such a move. Repeatedly giving away high draft picks for veteran players has kept them at or near the bottom of the division ever since Snyder took over.

Give me a break.

McNabb isn't as good as he was in six years ago.

Jackson isn't as good as Owens was six years ago.

The Commanders offensive line isn't as good as the Eagles offensive line was six years ago.

Also, a lot of people are alreay throwing around trade details (2 #1's, etc), but that article really just seemed like speculation.

I'd be suprised if anything actually transpired with this.

We just saw the undervaluing of WR's this past off-season. Vincent Jackson has not accomplished anywhere near what Brandon Marshall had accomplished.

Whomever gets Vincent Jackson, if the Chargers decide to let him go, won't give up more than a #2, imo.

WR's are no longer being acquired for #1 draft picks...they're being given away, and teams are taking whatever they can get. With the economy and no collective bargaining agreement, teams are currently valuing draft picks more than veteran players. If the NFL manages to get a rookie cap in place, one of their top priorities, and one that the veteran players seem to support, then draft picks will become even more valuable and economical.

nobody including the skins are gonna give that up at the most let alone the least.

They have probably had the best off-sesaon of any team in recent memory, this would just make that off-season that much better.

same ole, same ole. you don't build through FA, proven talent costs more draft picks and the skins aren't necessarily getting better and younger. McNabb, Portis, Johnson aren't spring chickens then Brown, McNabb, now jackson cost draft picks. they are trying to win now.

they have no depth.

Vincent Jackson going to Washington would ruin his career. Make him another diamond amongst garbage player.

AJ Smith's not going to do the deal just because he feels pressured to by Jackson and his agents. His ego won't let him do the deal unless he's just absolutely taking the Commanders to the cleaners.

I wish we could trade Roy11 for Jackson.
I'd settle shipping out Roy Williams to San Diego for a draft pick to take Jackson's place if they trade him.

The more I look at it, the more I see Williams as simply getting in the way this season.

That's the one big wildcard here. Smith has a tremendous ego and while he talks tough often, I get the feeling he would find it important to back it up.

Are you serious? McNabb and a couple of washed up running backs makes it a great offseason?

If I am a Commanders fan, I would be scared to death over both the passing game and the running game. Let alone a defense in a serious state of transition. They improved only in the addition of Shanahan and the culture change. McNabb does not make them a playoff contender.
