Rush and Gilbert are both making 920K in base this year.

I think this looks bad for Nooch. He’s going to get cut.

haha,, well yes that is very true, and just like the old saying that the apple doesnt fall from the tree... Jerry is the tree, and Stephen is the apple.
My prayer is that quality coaching can eventually overcome this.

Everyone is frustrated with the situation to a degree.
I would rather have a healthy Dak, but resting him and foregoing all live action preseason snaps is a dangerous venture facing the Bucs D with your only preseason basically throwing off to the side.
The Bucs should and probably are, already game planning for the short game,, its a definite disadvantage, even if Dak is considered 100 percent healthy by then.

I don't at all agree with the guy getting zero reps....I mean, at least a series.

It's beginning to creep into my head that #10 is going to start in Tampa also.

Next we know we are shopping for Thanksgiving dinner and the kid is telling us that's its just precautionary.....and that the Yankees are close to signing off on Prescott playing soon.

And we also expect to get hot out of nowhere and win the Super Bowl.

I agree. We effectively punt the first game of the season while giving all the players an excuse of being rusty. Which is literally what preseason is for.

The way to beat our defense is to ding and dunk with short passes and just keep the chains moving. I think our guys win if Brady gets impatient. Brady will control the ball and the clock until there is no more time.

I said it before,, I’ll say it again. Draft a quarterback every single season with the late round pick, you could have a first round bust. Or even the last round superstar

:facepalm: There is currently no good answer to the question, "who is QB2?". It amazes me we are in this position. The FO just let it happen and now they are on the hook to fix it before this season gets started. Work a deal with Chicago for one of their QBs. Who else is out there that is worthy?
 
The right decision under the circumstances. Gilbert was a bit shaky against the Texans , but I wish he was given one or two more drives in that game , giving DiNucci the entire second half seems like a waste of reps to finalize any conclusions. I don’t think that the FO likes Gilbert , and MM may be acting accordingly.
 
Seems like a some cuts happening soon in the QB room , probably danucci or Gilbert , or both if a waiver acquisition is imminent .
 
I mean, he has played the best out of the back ups, but he's still not an NFL caliber QB that can be trusted to win games.

It's like being the prettiest person in an ugly contest.
 
I know it is just preseason, but where they hell are all the weapons Moore was bragging about. It looks like he is shooting with a BB gun out there!!!

wrong watch GMF there are many starters who haven't taken snaps this offseason others like 10 snaps etc and other off seasons last year Dak had no offseason PS games and came out pretty hot ..im not concerned..

why am i less concerned , did you see Gilberts foot get stepped on by martin on the first pass snap , imagine how easy that could have been daks repaired ankle in a meaningless game? one wrong hit like Romos ion 16??

they would have played in some in PS but decided to be fully sure there are no setbacks

hes fine not big deal that you al think rush would start..want to be concerned if they made trade last week or two weeks ago after the follow-up MRI and got real backup..that didnt happen is all i need to know

his pregame warmups and continuing to practice every day since the injury's..hes throwing.hes practicing..hes fine.l.jeez PROZAC man

I they are not sacking Brady or at least moving him around and making him uncomfortable, than I dont like our chances.
Unleash the hounds all day, I dont care if we get burned a few times, might be 21-0 by the time we start getting pressure.
Just rather go down swinging, and swinging means DQ gets to unleash the hound dogs.
If this defense has one strength at this point its a very good pass rush, with the ability to come from several different directions.
