i can't remember if it was last year, or the year before, but didn't dak start the season peppering everyone and hitting a bunch of different receivers?

i see no reason why that can't be the case now. especially with the gravity ceedee pulls, and the lack of tape on several young guys who have been touted as promising.

This current primary concern is generating a pass rush.
Time for Kneeland to become a hero.

I am less concerned with WR status at this point.

Maybe he can catch the ball, run with the ball, and put the ball in the end zone?? Is this positive enough, no complaining here!!!!!
Maybe he can do some rpo and get out of the pocket. You know create something with his legs for one, extend a play, find a way to do something himself. I don’t expect this bc he’s not a dual threat and he’s blunt a pocket passer either. He’s Dakota

Don't expect much........Dak will still feed the guys he's most comfortable with, Lamb, Ferguson, and maybe Tolbert. If Flournoy has more than 5-6 targets, something has gone wrong.
Disagree. Dak is known to spread the football around to whomever gets open. During one of the first 4 games, Dak spread the ball around to 8 different pass catchers.

He’s accurate alright, it’s the defense fault alright, stats don’t tell what the film does

Yeah, the thumbnail pass is the type I've been harping on about Dak over the years (I also like how the thumbnail has Irvin in it but Irvin is nowhere in the video, lol). He just doesn't have a touch deep which isn't necessarily required but is one heck of a weapon to have if you're trailing or to put a nail in the coffin of a team you're leading. In 4 games so far, Dak has only attempted 6 passes of more than 30 yards and he's 1/6 in those passes. The 1 completion is that Tolbert circus catch on a grossly underthrown ball. This is probably why we don't go deep often and probably why passes are shorter which is probably why there's no receiver separation in the stats because everyone is bunched on shorter routes.

That’s a cop out. Even last year Dak went deep plenty and most of them are on when he’s improvising. Isn’t this suppose to be a west coast offense? West Coast offenses have always been about shorter throws. Deep passes aren’t really apart of the offense which is why we saw this same thing last head until about week 6….

1/6 is not a cop out, it's the stats. They should be 0/6 but Tolbert salvaged the 1.

Agree with the above. Flournoy should get some opportunities.

Maybe he can stretch the field and maybe that even opens up the run game.
I think Turpin is the one more likely to get more touches. He has shown that he has the speed to separate, but he's got to do better making sure of the catch or the opportunities will go elsewhere. Of course, I think Turpin is strictly a slot, so unless Tolbert steps up on the outside, we need to explore our options there with Brooks and Flournoy.
