PFT: Dak; QBs are judged by winning that last game

You track me like an junior high girl tracking the QB. Do you have a poster of me on your wall??? I'm flattered, but.....I'm married.

Lol...dont even try it. Your the one tracking peoples likes. Now youre trying to reverse psychology on me. Dude...stop.

You might be a coach of children but not of men,,,mkay?

Not sure what you are saying. I was responding to someone trying to compare Stafford's lack of playoff success in Detroit to Dak's time here.
Stafford lacked.
Dak lacked.

People measure in results, but tend to.move goal.post when it does that fit their argument

Dak Prescott: Quarterbacks are judged by winning that last game

Published June 11, 2026 10:17 PM

“If you play this position — I’ve said it before — how you’re judged is winning that last game,” Prescott said this week, via Todd Archer of ESPN. “Anything other than that, you’re warranted to get [the criticism] because you’ve not won that game. If you’re not wired that way and if it’s not what pushes you, you should probably find a different job and a different position. I think we all feel the same and if I know those guys are like me, it’s an obsession.

“So, yeah, it’s about making sure that you give everything that you can to this team and give them the chance to do it.”
Right you are, govnor, right you are.

I admire your dedication for 11 years. I admire your courage ... for 11 years.
I thrill as you riddle weak defences with 7-yarders to the sidelines. Too, I feel like a Manchester Hooligan when I applaud your rare, successful bomb.
And, oh, me lord, thank you for vindicating me belief tha you are a solid second tier QB if we consider your last games, particularly SF
I and II and the Pack Game of 2 years ago. (But I hear the pre-victory party hosted by Turpin and Sam Williams, was Kardashian worthy.)
In short, like Diego Pavia, your last games are memorable to me, unfortunately, you muscled toff, you have sucked --- consistently.

I judge them by *how they played* in the big games.
It's a team sport.

"Are judged" is not identical to "should be judged".

They are not anywhere near the same level of lacking though. Stafford had way less help.
Not really. As the #1 pick in the draft he should overcome a lot of team deficiencies.

He also had good offensive and defensive teams around him and struggled getting to playoffs

oooh, 3 times in 12 seasons...

and the record in the playoffs?

same measuring stick, but I am sure a long excuse for stafford is forthcoming.
If your argument is the #1 pick should win regardless of what is around him, then feel free to be wrong. I don't have to make any excuses for him. He's been one of the most respected QB's during his entire HOF career. He' got an MVP & Super Bowl ring (may get another this season).

so having Calvin Johnson doesn't count?

2009, they went 2-14 with the worst defense in the league? how did he lift that team?
they jumped to 19th in 2010, still went 6-10!!!
got destroyed in the playoffs against Saints in 2011
2012 going 4-12

and its not like he didn't have probowlers on his team.

but he got to LA. a team that was in the superbowl with Goff, almost won it against the GOAT.
one of the birghtest coaching minds in offensive football.
loaded the team on offense and defense and won a superbowl.
in fact Rams made ton of trades, mortgaged the future to load the team to win.

so not saying, Stafford is not a good QB. he is. but seems like he needed a lot around him to succeed and when he did have that, he did suceed. just needed to be surronded with a perfect team per se.

2-5

Dak talking about how you are judged is by winning that last game. Just win more than one game in the playoffs against a team that has a winning record. Start with that. Work your way up to playing in the last game.
Exactly. We all know lesser qbs have taken teams to the sb. He can start by not having panic attacks in the playoffs. We're dead in the water when that happens before the game even starts.
