When Silva put five quarterbacks (not including Ryan Mallett) in his first mock draft, it looked pretty bold. So bold, in fact, that only three quarterbacks were first-rounders in his third mock draft.

Bucs G.M. Mark Dominik believes Silva was right the first time.

Dominik said on SIRIUS NFL Radio Thursday he believes 5-6 quarterbacks will be taken in the first round. Later in the day, Titans VP of player personnel Ruston Webster said he thought 4-5 quarterbacks would be taken, with teams possibly trading back into the end of the first round.

Would be a horrible mistake IMO. There aren't 2 QBs, IMO, that belong in the 1st round in this draft. I guess we'll see what happens.

I think 5 to 6 will go in 1st round.
Newton, Gabbert, Ponder, Locker, Mallet, and either Dalton or Kaepernick could sneak into the lower end of 1st round. From what im hearing.

This love for Christian Ponder is kinda ridiculous. I wouldnt consider him in the first 3 rounds. Gabbert, Newton, Mallet and Locker are the only ones who should be considered in the 1st imo. With Dalton, Kaepernik, and Devlin going in the 2nd and 3rd. Then there is the Stanzi's and Ponder's of the draft.

I'm telling you guys, the lockout is going to make teams QB hungry. I even said as it got closer to draft time these types of comments and articles would start appearing.

The collective IQ of the coaching staffs must be taking a dive. Or the GMs are just plain stupid. At MOST there are 4 QBs who could be considered first rd picks. And each one has some serious warts. Gabbert probably has the least.
Mallett is a dope head both in pot and play; Newton is a thief and a TO wannabe; Locker played this year like he was ON dope.

I hope that we play some of those teams this year. Would love to face a few teams starting rookie QB's that haven't had the benefit of a full off season.

That just means more players at other positions falling to us in the first and second round.

Go teams Go...get that QB...Don't worry if it is considered a reach, if you don't take the guy in the first some other team will and you will be left high and dry.

This draft isn't particularly stacked in the first place. That said, I'm not sure exactly what Hos means by the lockout will make teams QB hungry.

The more stupid teams pick busts for QB the better. More future easier wins for us and they knock good players down farther.
