The folks at the Boston Herald have provided the football-following world a couple of new tidbits regarding recently-retired receiver Randy Moss.

One is very interesting. The other one, frankly, isn’t.

First, Karen Guregian of the Herald reports that the Eagles made an offer to Moss following his retirement. That’s a big one, since we’re convinced the Eagles are one of the few teams for which Moss would play. Without knowing the amount of the offer or the Eagles’ plans for Moss, it’s hard to know whether he’d be interested.

Second, Ian Rapoport of the Herald reports that Moss has filed his retirement papers. “His career is over,” Rapoport writes.

I hope he stays retired rather than signing with Philadelphia.

(sigh)

Getting sick of hearing about them, seems theyre in on EVERY FREAKING DEAL.

I wouldnt be surprised if those bastids snatched Elam from us.

Ive never wished an injury on a group of guys before, till now

There is a reason the Eagles are buying FA's. They are so far under the CAP they have to spend the money or give it to the League.

Well I'm still not wishing for it(karma you know), but I would not shed a tear if they had key injuries, particularly a certain CB.

So your celebrating the seizure this morning as a job well done?

The current Eagles remind me of the 1994 San Francisco 49'ers.

Unfortunately, their tricks did enable the Niners to steal a Super Bowl.

I can only hope the same doesn't happen again.

I'm not sure the cap floor is kicked in this year and they also have 3 years to hit it. If that was really the reason they would more likely use the money on locking up their young stars to new contracts.

If the Eagles want to buy a championship then I've got an empty trophycase to sell them. Frankly put, paper champs don't impress me.

This board has become obssessed with the Eagles. It's embarrassing.

Our team will have a much greater say in their own fate than the Eagles. The two weeks when we play each other, they'll both have a say.

They certainly wouldn't be taking such a hard stance with DeSean Jackson.

I don't think filling out the retirement papers is a big deal, especially since he is a free agent. I am pretty sure if he decides to unretire it is no big deal.

I think Favre has a few lockers full of those kinds of papers.

They made him fill them out in pencil.

Where are they getting all of this money from?

Where is Adam? What were the Eagles' cap numbers before they started signing all these guys? And trying to sign all these guys?

PS -- this isn't going to bode well with Jackson.
