We have a habit of "absolute waste"...this 4th pick is pretty low on the list.

Not exactly, teams miss all the time on bust players in the draft. When a team gives up a 4th for a player the league knew was a bust is a whole different story.

I'm assuming that by "fans" you mean "fan". The second Dak got extended I think it was pretty clear to most everyone that Lance had zero future with the Cowboys.

All teams miss on picks. Few give up as much as SF did for the chance to miss that badly.
