PFT: Garcia Is A Raider

We’re hearing from multiple sources that quarterback Jeff Garcia is the newest member of the Oakland Raiders.

One tipster tells us that Garcia is already in the building and working out. (We haven’t yet confirmed that specific detail.)

Though some outlets are suggesting that Garcia will compete with starter JaMarcus Russell, we’re told that Garcia has no intention of competing with the first overall pick in the 2007 draft.

Then again, we all thought that Matt Leinart was entrenched as the starter in Arizona last year at this time, too.

Heard it on the radio here and all I heard was

"sometimes a player just takes the money and thats what Jeff Garcia did"

looked at the teller of the convenience store and asked "what did Garcia do"

"went to the raiders" he replied.

"Why"

"Guess they don't like Russell very much"

"They just drafted the guy, you can't give up yet.

"Its the Raiders"

And with that, I nodded my head and left.

No, he's just garbage. You either have accuracy or you don't.

Isn't it strange that the best job Garcia can get is playing for the Raiders? I really think that there are some serious issues with Garcia. There has to be something we don't know that keeps him from sticking with a team or from being immediately signed.

He has a big arm and that is it.

Im still shocked more teams didn't like Brady Quinn more.

Isn't it strange that the best job Garcia can get is playing for the Raiders? I really think that there are some serious issues with Garcia. There has to be something we don't know that keeps him from sticking with a team or from being immediately signed.

His "issue" is that he's old. Most teams are looking for someone young to build around. They aren't looking for a guy that only has a few years left.

But seriously, it can't just be an age thing. Jon Gruden didn't decide after the first game last season, "geez, you're old. I'm going to demote you to 3rd string and leave you inactive." I wouldn't be surprised if he is a locker room cancer, but no one has called him out on it.
