He'll never come here. He stated he wanted to stay in the NFC East so he could play us and the Skins twice a year. He hates us and I ain't all that fond of him either. Even though he is a Penn Stater!

I always have liked Emmons as a player...

After seeing Arringtons NFL networks interview last year I dont want him at all..
If it happenend I would accept it but one big mouth on the team is enough and at least our big mouth plays

i'm a little shocked with these cuts. especially Petitgout, i guess Giants are aiming to get a lot younger. Good they should be just a .500 team this coming year

Should be but then again look at the 2003 Cowboys and the 2006 Saints.

the Giants need a Great Draft this coming year or they could be in some trouble. Although that could be a mute point with Eli as QB :lmao:

How much was remaining on Arrington's contract?

And how big was his signing bonus?

They are only projected at $15.7m under the cap for next year.

Arrington agreed to a $49 million, seven-year deal late Friday, according to Kevin Poston, one of his agents. Poston didn't say how much was guaranteed but Giants general manager Ernie Accorsi indicated that it includes performance bonuses.
To get the $7 million-per-year, Arrington and the Giants agreed to load the deal with incentives, ESPN.com's John Clayton reported. Arrington, who will get a $5.25 million signing bonus, will receive a base salary worth around $3.7 million a year. With reachable incentives, Arrington can make $5 million a year and with maximum performance, he can take the deal to $49 million if he completes the seven years of his contract.
Arrington reportedly had been seeking as much as $18 million guaranteed and a $58 million deal, one reason Arrington stayed on the market while dozens of other players signed during the first few weeks of the free-agent period.

That was the best I could find.

Only $5m in signing bonus, so it shouldn't be much of a cap hit.

arrington will cost them about 4 million one would guess. Pettigout less; but still they are going to have to do some work on the cap.

They are all older expensive players with injuries.

Great moves, even if hard ones, imho.

Diehl played LT oretty well for NY when Luke wa sout.

Petitgout is the one guy I'd have real interest in.
