Did you hear that Lambert recently apologized to Bradshaw about his line about "QBs need to wear skirts" which he coined about 25 years ago.

Said he was profoundly sorry- should never have said it compared to what goes on in what are supposedly football games today.

Not sure I would want to plant a seed in the minds of the refs which Williams seems to be doing.

dont underestimate williams, he is a very smart defensive coach

he is trying to plant a seed of doubt in manning's mind, a couple of passes thrown early because he is concerned about being hit may be all the saints need if they result in turnovers. if you sit back, manning will pick you apart

i remember that is how the pats said they used to beat him when their defense was any good

I agree however Williams comments were a bit more than that. Actions though speak louder than words but not a great ideal to say we are willing to take 15 yard penalties to hit manning and knock him out of the game.

He said that? or are you taking what the writing is interpreting from his comments and assuming thats what williams said ?

I don't underestimate Williams and I sure do not underestimate Peyton Manning either. Manning is a big time vet best in the business I think any close call pretaining to roughing is likely to go aginst you when you make comments as Williams did.

When you put too much of that type of worry on a warrior's mind, he doesn't play all out," Williams said. "If it happens, it happens. And the only thing you'd like for me to say is that if it happens you hope he doesn't get back up and play again."

I think Manning will eat the Saints defense alive.

I think you are right. I will say I do not know who I will pull for in this game, I have some mixed feelings but as for the outcome I think the Colts will win.

I pull Colts all the way. I don't want to see the Saints win. I was pulling Saints last weekend just because of that crap Favre and company pulled against Dallas.

Now, I want Manning to win. Dude deserves it.

When it comes to winning deserve does not mean allot to me you earn it or you don't.

As I said I do have mixed feeling, I love watching Peyton play the game. Part of me wants to see the NFC win the SB and part of me likes pulling for the underdog in games when my team is not playing.

Chances are I'm be pulling for both teams at different points of the game because in the end since I can't see the Cowboys in the SB I may as well hope to see a very good and close SB game. Last thing I want to see is some boring blowout

And Williams won't be reeling in his troops for the Super Bowl. Instead, it sounds like he's willing to risk a few 15-yard walk-offs if it means that Manning eventually will be carted off the field.

Chances are he will be seeing some 15 yarders then and if the refs feel it was blatant you could see an ejection for the game. Nothing wrong with sending guys after Manning and putting hits on him but announcing your intent to knock him out of the game may not go over well with the league or zebras

It's football if you're not trying to knock their QB out the game then get off the ****ing field.

The job is to sack the QB put hits on QB and to harass the QB into mistakes. Going after them to knock them out of the game intentionally that is for you WWF fans. Guys around the league for the most part are not trying to injure players

As long as the hits are legal and not just cheap/late shots, it's all part of the game.

Frankly...Peyton Manning is a monster. Give the guy a 90yd field, 1 minute and 2 timeouts and he can get you a game winning score. He doesn't seem to have trouble "trusting" new WRs. He has the ability to just get in there and make stuff happen.

So yes... if you can rattle him, hit him and get him worried about his protection, do it. Cowboys did it to McNabb. Vikings did it to Romo. Saints did it to Favre.

That what I also said as long as their not taking cheap shots then it's all in the range of football.
