When he said the difference between 30m$ and 40m$ didn’t matter, I bought it

Link it or just chalk it up to Zone make believe because we eat our own.

Show it and I’ll reply.

I get it. We hate our own players. The more individualistic they are, the more we hate them.

The more ”flamboyant”, the more we hate them.

Guess what.

The “fans” who hate anyone who isn’t Bob Lilly, who I revere, are a dying breed.

Dallas isn’t 1970.

“To me it's all about the foundation of the team. How can I create the best foundation and play with the guys who've helped me create a lot of success? Those guys helped me get to where I am. It's all about the aggressiveness, how we look at free agency. You see a lot of times, the highest-paid player, and we see they don't have weapons. I'd rather just be in the best situation. At that point, I don't think there's a big difference between $30 and $40 million."

How is 13 sacks per season worth 40 million a year?
He is one of the top pressure players in the NFL, disrupting the offense, forcing double-teams and making the QB get rid of the ball faster. He's worth what top pass rushers get paid.

I WISH I COULD oh my gosh oh my gosh!!!!! Exactly!! Post of the year!!!

Because he's a generational talent, not someone that takes over games, gets a turnover when it's needed etc etc, but 13 sacks not 17+ , he's not a game changer, people hype him up because of what he's done in his rookie season and now he's all world. I think there's better DEs than him by far, his perception is getting him this big deal, I don't see him getting over 13 sacks at all

Because in Dallas anything above average is treated as extraordinary.

Is your issue with the money or the production?

If it’s the money, then hop into your delorean and go back in time to the 70’s. (My guess is that is your steady state).

If it’s production, then only two players have had more sacks than his 14 and the 14.5 that he will pass, for sure, is Lawrence, at 14.5, who you people slag on forever as being a leader of the “hot boyz”, which is a dog whistle if I’ve ever heard one.

Anyway, not Lilly, not White, not Jones, Haley, Martin, Tolbert or Jeffcoat. None of them have produced like Micah.

My guess is that it’s just chalked up to old man syndrome.

I should know. I saw (and remember) the 76 and 78 Super Bowl. But I also am able to grow.

I honestly think the fandom needs a reboot that is only achievable through time. I’m an exception, not the norm.

Ya, I'm out at $40m. If he was saying nice things to the media with no intention of following through, we need to trade him. The Bears gave two 1's for Khalil Mack. If somebody's willing to make a similar offer with a top 10 pick this year, I'd be all over it.

Micah can't stop a nosebleed, let alone the run. Sign him Jerry. Then your final journey to the dark side will be COMPLETE.

Garrett: $40M/yr
Crosby: $35M/yr
Bosa: $34M/yr
Watt: $28M/yr
Hunter: $24.5M/yr

I'd put Micah somewhere between Hunter & Watt at the highest.

If he wants $40M/yr, I'd say trade him (nobody would take him if that's the kind of money he wants)
