He did miss one game because of the spleen. They wouldn't let him play. Not his choice though.

Actually, the only game Witten has ever missed was for a broken jaw in his rookie year in 2003 vs Eagles. I specifically remember him playing with the spleen, because had he taken a perfect hit on it, it would have killed him. Crazy, I know.

He traveled to multiple doctors, until he found one that gave him authorization to play that week. WItten has played in 189 consecutive games. That's the longest streak of any positional player in the NFL. A true Iron Man.

Maybe it is me, but I really do not care about this "rivalry".

To me, it is just mutual marketing. There is no "hate" involved here.

They will still exchange jerseys after the game anyways.

Trust me. The Commanders fans HATE us and the Commanders player get that. Same with everyone of our NFC East opponents. The hate is real...just not from us.
