Not only did lose more key pieces, it was the timing of those injuries contributed to the Cowboys losing another game. According to Todd Archer of ESPNDallas.com, running back Lance Dunbar is “almost certainly” lost for the season with last night’s knee injury, the most dramatic of a long list. They were also without linebacker Sean Lee…http://youwillnotrackme2.net/b.gif?host=profootballtalk.nbcsports.com&blog=&post=2353210&subd=nbcprofootballtalk&ref=&feed=1

When I saw him leave the field, I just know he wouldn't be back this year.

“You’ve got no choice [but to bounce back],” cornerback Morris Claiborne said. “That’s our job. Even though you don’t want to or not, you have to because that’s the only way. We’ve got another game next week.

???

What does this mean?

Bet he never returns a kickoff from the back of the end zone again

This isn't shocking. You had to know by the way he was screaming in pain, and clutching that knee, that it would be the end of the season for him.

This is what happens when you put valuable players on special teams. Bonehead management who have not been able to find any guy who can return it to the 20.. Beasley is next in line.

Yeah. Unfortunately that looked pretty apparent.

To Dunbar's credit, he maintained possession until he was down.

Why did he bring it out from the back of the endzone? Wouldn't a coach advise against that?

Not good. Your chance to make money and have success in the NFL is very small for most guys. Next year there will be a whole new batch of running backs entering the league. Just losing an ounce of explosion can be the difference from being on an NFL roster and out of a job. If he is out for the season, there is a very real chance Dunbar never is on an NFL Team again.

Hoping to be half the man Tom Landry was.

This is killer. We finally find a Sproles like guy and this happens to him. I was a fan of his after seeing the one handed catch, him basically carrying the offense last week, and was excited to see what he could do. I think all of our hearts go out to him because it's a devastating injury for him as well as the team.

Thank you Dunbar for what you contributed to our team!

The injury is jut bad luck, but he's to blame. He made a stupid decision to bring the ball out of the back of the end zone. If he had not made a stupid play, the injury would never have happened. Story of the season.

He'll be on a new contract the next time he plays. Was starting to get noticed around the league.

Difference is Beasley just fair catches the ball. I don't think he knows what a runback is.

It doesn't matter.

90 percent of this forum wanted Dunbar cut in the preseason.
