News: PFT: Lane Johnson: When Kellen Moore addresses the offense you see what a genius he is

His haters seem to not understand a basic point…

Of course he has some flaws. The guy became an OC off the bat, with minimal coaching experience and showed an ability to adapt in game to exploit match-ups, as well as take advice from his players. He’s improved every year and the way it’s trending, if it continues, he’ll be a great coach.

Btw, there is zero evidence the Cowboys even had a choice in the matter. Moore just interviewed by computer and he may have been doing them a favor. He was being interviewed by other teams while this was happening as well.

Jerry and Stephen didn’t see the genius.

Cmon, we could have hired Andy Reid and we'd still be complaining. I bet San Diego wishes they had fired Harbaugh and kept Garrett Jr.
Nothing like Garrett at all.

And they actually hate Greg Roman. And the Chargers were not letting any team interview Moore until Harbaugh signed on the dotted line and was given completely control. Harbaugh brought in all his guys. Only then did Moore go and he was picked up immediately.

Garrett, on the other hand, could only find a job because of his ties to Mara and NY wanted him fired mid-season. But in order to appease the masses, the FO let go of Columbo while JJ took over the run game.

I heard it here, Moore sucked and he was Garrett Jr. I heard it here and now I hear something else. Are you saying that what zoners say on here is not always correct?

Like I said, I’d love to go back and bring up all the posts about our resident JJ GM’s about how far they thought the Eagles would go with the Moore and Fangio hires and their “belief” in Hurts to get it done…

And BTW, Barkley wasn’t lighting the world on fire in NG either outside his rookie year.. most of his plays in his rookie year were in space, off the passing game. But the problems in NY was that their RG couldn’t force teams out of cover 2. In fact, throughout Barkley’s career, he’s been among the top RGs to lead the league in negative yardage runs. That was his problem going back to college as well. Even this year, by the end of December he had 55 runs that were negative yardage, which once again led the league.

Prime Zeke on the other hand led the league in yardage after contact.

If Barkley came here, there is no way he would have had anywhere close to the same impact. I read the following stat on Reddit with Mike McCarthy and Schottenheimer as coaches:

For week 2 rushing:

Cowboys did inside runs for 2/3rds of their rushes, the third most in football. 1/3rd outside… 27th in football

Light box 71% of the time. Stacked box (8 or more in the box) ONLY 5% of the time.

So how did we do in yards per carry??? Especially considering that 95% of the time we faced a favorable or neutral box???! 25th in the league! We were bottom 5 in yards before and after contact as well.
