Cowboys wide receiver Lucky Whitehead has one of the best names in the NFL anyway, and if he hadn’t lived up to it last weekend, he might have been called Limpy Whitehead, or worse.

According to Charean Williams of the Forth Worth Star-Telegram, Whitehead was advertised to be at a party at the same Dallas nightclub where Aqib Talib was one of three men shot. But Whitehead never showed up, seeing the police cars reporting to the scene as he drove home.

“What’s going on over there?” Whitehead said he wondered. “But I got a call later on to make sure I wasn’t there, because someone had heard about what had happened. It’s unfortunate. It just seems like the wrong place at the wrong time, and I’m glad I wasn’t there.”

Whitehead doesn’t know Talib, but he does know the DJ at the club, and thinks that’s how he ended up on a promotional flier advertising his birthday party. But Whitehead said he didn’t know about any advertising.

“It was just like an afterparty for me; I kind of know the DJ,” Whitehead said. “That’s why I knew about the party. But I never agreed to having a flier put out. That’s why I was never on any of my social media. I never promoted it myself.

“It was an unfortunate accident. I’m glad I wasn’t there.”

Or, maybe just Lucky.

Happy he decided not to attend the party.

Nice to see somebody learn, nothing good happens from going out and getting hammered.

So he kind of knows the DJ, he invites him to come to the club. Lucky does his own thing Luckily. LOL, but doesn't agree to going there. But the DJ advertises it anyway.
That DJ needs to be fired, or be told never to do that again or be fired. As that club gets a bad false ad type reputation.

If he was an early bird, he would've been there... "Lucky" for him. Probably saved him hundreds of thousands of dollars and well, possibly his......... LIFE.

How many , just in the exclusive NFL group, have been shot, or was at a scene where there was a shooting.....?!?!

I don't know, maybe, just maybe...........there is a problem there? Just a wild guess.

Better than a reputation that you may be shot if you go there....

Stay out of the clubs just Tinder it up. Much more effective and safer.

A lot of these clubs don't employ the DJ. It is more likely a promo group putting together an event there in partnership with club. This happens a lot unfortunately as the event planners are trying to cover the costs and make some profit off of what it costs to rent the club out, by putting "headliners" on a flyer even if that person just said they would stop by for few minutes. Ladies probably getting in free, which brings in all the idiots dropping $300 that night to party with them.
