My hat goes off to this chap for that. To be going through the emotions that he must be going through is incredibly difficult. I hope that he has an absolutely brilliant game on Thursday to honour his brother.

I kind of figured he'd play. Many times in situations where there are deaths in the family, even tragic ones like this, the player plays almost as a show of respect and love for their lost loved one.

But I wouldn't blame him one bit if he plays but his head is somewhere else during the game. The kid is only human.

Prayers to him and his family.

Indeed. My prayers are with this young lad.

I lost my best friend/BIL to suicide 2 years ago; he also worked for me. I remember the day before he asked "what are we doing tomorrow so I can be ready?" Tomorrow never came for him.

I was sad for my sister (his wife) and the 4 boys he left behind (1 special needs) but I think I was more angry that I couldn't stop him or didn't see it coming. There are many unanswered questions and there always will be.

Michael is doing the right thing by playing: Honor your brother's memory by living and bringing joy to others.

Thank God -- thanks to Gallup for his dedication. It would've been easy for him to take the easy road and lick his wounds.
I salute you, sir!! You might dedicate the upcoming game to your brother and do your absolute best in his memory.

Agreed. Whatever he wants to do should be ok with anyone. I'd play just to not have to think about things for a few hours.
