A new scheme isn’t going to fix anything. I’m not saying Nolan isn’t terrible, cause he is, but he’s truly only adding fuel to the fire.
Our defense is just full of untalented players. See, Diggs is a rookie. He’s clearly struggling (albeit, he’s a rookie with no help) but he’s also showing flashes. He’s doing “well” in this scheme. Trysten Hill is as well at times. But the others? Not in the slightest. So what does that mean? It means our players suck.
How does a player that’s been out the game 5 years, a player that we called a lazy bust last year, and a rookie beat out our current players? It’s not cause of scheme. It’s because they just SUCK! They sucked in Marinelli’s scheme, they sucked in Richard’s scheme, and now they suck in Nolan’s. Common denominator is the players.
offense wasn’t good in 2018 til we got Amari. It was lack of talent and we got better from there. Linehan was fired, and although Kellen DEFINITELY has his slow moments, I still prefer him over Linehan. The scheme improved, along with the players, hence why we’re good on offense.
Defense needs severe upgrades to both. I hope this offense can hold up for one more season. Cause if we can get this defense to at least Philly level, we could contend. MAYBE. But that’s asking a lot from this team since we say that every year so let me shut up on that.
