That is the newest mock from PFT. Not only are the large majority of the picks questionable, but Dallas taking CB Xavier Rhodes? Really? If that was how the draft fell, we'd take Fluker,Syl Williams or Lane Johnson. That would be my assumption.

Jarvis won't fall that far, I have a very hard time seeing Buffalo not take Geno/Barkley, and personally don't see Sheldon Richardson going in the top 5.

Are they trying to kill Risen Star?

Apparently so! :laugh2:

He would personally take out the Jones family if this happened.

Yes he can and I think he will.

We will see.

What are your thoughts on the rest of this mock? Like us selecting Xavier Rhodes?

That it is jacked up, but you might see us taking a CB somewhere in rounds 3-5 that will actually be a convert to FS, Tharold Simon, Sanders Comming etc.

I would rather we take Geno Smith at 18 then Xavier Rhodes, good lord we don't need another corner in round 1. I have no doubt that if Lane Johnson was on the board that Jerry Jones himself wouldn't run that card to the podium all the way from Valley Ranch.

Ridiculous. Johnson should have been the pick in less than a second.

that list is a joke

notable idiotic/questionable picks

Rhodes to Dallas - no way they go CB unless they see him as a S
Fisher going #12 (likely a top 5 pick, could go #1 or #2)
Richardson #4 to the Eagles (WAY too early)
Simon even being mentioned in the first round
4 CB's in first round (possible, but not likely)

Yea because converting corners to safeties is the way to go.

Actually in today's NFL you have to have safeties that cover like corners or you are playing behind in a passing league. A lot of these guys played both and want to be a CB because it pays more. Brandon Carr did ok there last year it isn't impossible so not sure what the hang up is. This is actually an easier transition than a 4-3 DE playing 3-4 LB in the NFL coming out of college.

I have no problem with Rhodes if he is going to play FS here.

Put me in a padded room if that happens.

NO NO NO.

If this happens...

We are getting the band together to head to VR to whoop some butt...wrinkly old man butt.

Lane Johnson is going to be outstanding. Real strong chance he ends up with a half dozen Pro Bowls before he's through. I can't imagine under any circumstance him being drafted that low.
What a dream for Dallas if he's there at 18!

Rhodes is worthy of the 18th pick, but not to Dallas.

And Eric Fisher 12?!! This guy is nuts.

i generally hate pft fwiw, but this isn't as bad as it seems at first.

dallas would draft rhodes as a fs, not a cb. if they had noted that the mock looks less senile.

i still suspect lane johnson would be our pick however... especially since he'd save us so much cap space by cutting free.

i do believe jarvis falls because he is a physical question mark. smallish guy for a 3-4 olb and may not hold up.

i also believe sheldon could go high. ideal 4-3 3 tech. floyd is more coveted because he is bigger but both could go very high.

geno smith is a great prospect imho. every bit the athlete aaron rodgers was with much the same skillset. can he develop that accuracy? i dont know and odds are low but nfl teams didnt think rodgers could either....

No way Lane drops that far unless he has some serious issues we dont know about.

If it falls that way, it likely is Big Cat (is that his nickname? It certainly should be) -- that's just how our board tends to roll.

I think Fluker is a bit high at 18 - but he sure looks like a guy who can fill an OL spot for years - maybe not as a star but a solid starter.
