PFT: More details regarding Bond's allegations

Another issue of players trying cover things up with money, you did it, you did it, pay the price! How foolish can you be to mess up your dream and money WEEKS into getting drafted in the NFL!???? Stupid on all levels

I'm dropping him off my board after reading this. Usually, I would reserve judgment until hearing both sides, but this young lady's account seems very credible. He, on the other hand, reminds me of Deshuan Watson with some freakish sexual behavior he may be addicted to. It would not surprise me if this isn't the first time.........hunting women on IG. Either way, he's off my board........I might consider him as UDFA.

It is still a he said she said as far as the actual act in question is concerned. But if she has any evidence he tried to get her to sign an NDA or that he attempted to buy her silence, her allegations become more believable for a jury.

But, NDAs are not rare documents, and he could have offered her an NDA because she threatened him with charges if he didn't pay her off. No one would hand over money for silence without a legal agreement like an NDA. Did Bond have a lawyer draw up an NDA? What does the lawyer know?

There are still a lot of details missing. I don't see how these allegations don't hurt Bond in the draft. He was probably a 2nd round pick. I can see a lot of teams dropping him off their boards because of this. No one will risk a 2nd round pick if there s a chance he is guilty.

the more information that comes out the worse it looks for him.
lack of self control and poor judgement AT THE VERY LEAST

that is not someone you gamble millions of dollars on

To quote Walt Garrison from his poem People are Funny Critters …. “There’s weirdos and sickies and five dollar quickies…”

Agree, has to come off the draft board and won't even consider him as a fa.

She does sound credible, but that's different than him being guilty. We have her side of the story. Now we have to see what evidence she has to back it up, and then we have to hear from the defense and see what evidence they have to back up their side.

Unfortunately for Bond, we don't have time to wait for all that to come out before the draft. I suspect a lot of teams will drop him off their draft boards. I also expect he will get drafted anyway. There is little downside risk for a team to spend a compensatory 4th round pick on him.

If he is innocent it will be a grave injustice if he drops very far, or goes undrafted. But this could be like the La'el Collins situation.

No chance he’s drafted. Nobody is touching this story with little to no details this close to the draft.

Maybe if this came out a few months ago and teams had time to investigate etc.

But zero chance he gets picked. If innocent, he can choose where to go.

Nobody is a hard claim considering the Browns traded for then paid a QB with over 20 allegations of sexual harassment and assault against him. There is always one team thinking, someone else is going to draft him so why not us? I don't have faith that every owner will care about these allegations. I wonder if the league offices will issue an statement of some kind to the owners?

Collins and his agent also said he wasn’t drafted early he would sit out a year and refuse to report.
Yes, if I recall Collins wanted not to get drafted so he could negotiate a contract with teams as a free agent so he could get more money that a late round selection. He wound up signing a 3 year deal for $1.7 million which s a lot more than UDFAs normally make.

He will get his day in court, but probably will go 7th round or undrafted now.

I would give a 7th on the chance he can get past this.
