I actually think Stephen might turn out to be much better. I would not be shocked if Stephen would hire a GM.

from 1996-2002, yes Jerry is the main culprit...and one could add 94 & 95, except for the fact that were still the best team in football and won a super bowl, so that isnt misery

but from 2003 to the present, the only person to blame for misery and mediocrity is Mr Parcells...he's had absolute total control of the franchise...he has made the call on every draft pick and free agent we've signed...he's hired or retained every coach we've had...he put in the offense and defense he wanted...

one person to blame, and one person only...Parcells

Bill can be blamed for the majority of things, but he has not had total control of this team. Jerry has...if jerry wants someone bad enough he will get them even if it is not to bills liking.

Well, it'll definitely be Jerry's fault if Bill is coach in 2007. He just doesn't want to flush six million bucks down the drain. In terms of personnel, no way Bill implored Jerry to sign TO. That was a Jerry move all the way.

But you admitted the QC and Hutch thing.

If he had total control he would have cut them in camp that first year or told Jerry he would not coach the team unless they brought in a vet QB.
If I recall correctly I think it was alluded to that jerry did do a bit of a sell job on QC and Hutch because he wanted them to be groomed.

You admit he let jerry do a sell job on Zimmer.

Bill may have went along with TO but once again I say that Bill and Jerry have been on record multiple times saying that Jerry has final say. So if Bill said no and Jerry said yes...it falls to jerry..something that has been said multiple times and it would seem something that was discussed prior to bill being hired because I think he even said that in his first PC with the team.

Jerry no matter what still has final say on who comes in because he is the man that signs the checks.

He has given bill more control than anyone since Jimmy. But this is Jerry's team plain and simple and nothing gets done without his approval.

If Parcells leaves, then there would be alot to discuss about the next coach. However, if he stays, then the next question will be: Does TO stay or go? Not like that has happened. :
