TUNA RETURNS TO BRISTOL

ESPN has announced that Bill Parcells is returning to the network. The Tuna worked for Bristol before being hired to coach the Cowboys.

Parcells will be part of the ESPN Monday Night Countdown crew, will appear on other programs, will pen a weekly column for ESPN.com, and will co-host a Friday night ESPN Radio show with Chris Mortensen.

Our take? It's a one-year arrangement. Two years, max. Parcells has said privately that he'd be inclined to return to the NFL as a G.M. in 2008, and we fully expect someone to give him a call after the coming season.

I totally agree. As far as his on field resume here in Dallas, as a big Parcells supporter, I'm just as dissapointed as anyone else. But in terms of personell decisions, he was generally pretty good.

Yea he was the guy that skipped Merriman, drafted Spears, a TE and some other forgetables, I say move on he wasn't any better than some of the others we had, maybe Phillips is better, we'll see..

The best thing, IMO, that Parcells did to the Cowboys was to reel Jerra in a little bit...actually a WHOLE LOT...!

I really believe that Jerra needed this 4 years from Tuna, not only from a team point of view (and the team is way better then when he came), but to teach Jerra a little about how a real GM should run a football team.

We will see if Jerra learned his lesson...

;)

GIve me WARE any DAY over roid man. Last years picks need another year to evaluate. Prior to that, BPs drafts were VERY good. Arguably as good as anyone in the NFL. Especially considering how we STANK it up under JJ.
