Interestingly, hearing/reading the entire quote(s) gives a different context. Sure, he could have chosen better words, but his response is about opportunities left for his coach vs. his teammate. He needs to understand that this is just the beginning. The rest of the season is going to challenge/test him big-time, and ALL eyes will be watching to see if he slips up.

Micah Parsons insists he wasn’t throwing “Mike McCarthy under the bus” with postgame comments

I can’t stand MP.

In his short time here, he’s managed to let everyone know what an immature, front runner he is. No sense of accountability. CeeDee is almost as bad.

I’m happy Dak gets to miss the rest of this horrible joke of a season.

Micah’s a problem. Worst part is he doesn’t even think he’s a problem.

Little Micah should just shut his mouth. I bet he was a spoiled little brat growing up, momma always calling, "Micha, baby come let momma feed you your bottle. You are such a cute little boy, Micah."

Terry Bradshaw made a good point about him. He said paying Dak and "8 track tape player" big money was a bad idea and to pay big mouth Micah big money will make the Cowboys even worse than what they already are.

He said Jerra should trade the man child for on 1st rounder and pick up a good player on a rookie contract to save some money rather than pay the kid, because once he gets paid, it bye bye, no longer needs to try hard anymore.

Damage control............

There's a lot of that going around, right #4?

At least from the article:

“I never once threw, or even intended to throw, Mike McCarthy under the bus,” Parsons said on his The Edge with Micah Parsons podcast. “The question that was asked about here and the Dallas Cowboys. Did I see Mike McCarthy in our future? I said, ‘That’s above my pay grade.”

It's not that part for some, it's the next comment that got some in the media and fans upset:

"You want to win games and do great things with those type of legends who put in more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did. So, those are the kind of guys that I have so much sympathy and hurt for."

Nothing to be taken out of context there. Even when you read what he previously said. Bottom line is Micah believes (he must, he said it) that Zach put in “more time and work than Mike McCarthy ever did”.

Sorry Mike. I know you’re one of seven current head coaches with a Super Bowl win. Just imagine what you could have accomplished putting in as much time and work as Zach Martin.

He’s not a problem. It’s the fans that are the problem.
He’s a major problem. He was at Penn State too. All the media has hinted at it. He doesn’t practice hard. He doesn’t study. He doesn’t play the position he was drafted to play. He throws coaches and players under the bus all the time. He is a freelance player who takes no accountability. We get blown out just as bad when he plays as when he doesn’t and he’s just on the sideline cutting up. Dudes a cancer. The locker room has gotten worse every year he’s been here. They need to get rid of him and his part time podcast buddy Diggs.

Who cares about the media. He’s not a problem until the locker room, says it’s a problem. And right now they think he’s the best player on the team so
You’re welcome to your opinion, but I totally disagree with you

put the blame where it belongs. Jerry, GM. This is all him nobody else.

To be fair, athletes put their bodies through a lot to play. Some of those guys have to sleep standing up the pain is so bad. I have a feeling that is what Parsons meant by more work. I don't think players, especially younger ones, always know the sacrifices coaches also make.

Jerry doesn’t help and is part of the reason why players probably can’t call him out. But Malik Hooker called him out and ex players have also called him out.

And they should. If they feel they should. and they would do the same thing about Parsons if they felt it.

Don't they give media training in those rookie symposiums?

Man, who cares. Micah is just playing the entertainment business like the rest of the folks in the NFL, from the commentators on ESPN to the gamblers and fantasy league players.

He was just trying to show sympathy for his the superstar teammates who worked hard and will never win anything because the management of the organization sucks ***.

Micah the Mouth will spout whatever comes into his weak mind. Then he will walk back his comments and clarify what he really meant.
Micah never learned how to pull out early.

Doesn't matter the intent. Any comment or thing you do that a fan or media can take out of context is a distraction to you, the team, coaches, owners etc. I do not think he was trying to throw shade at Mike but the 1st thing we saw in the media is all the hysteria over nothing. The focus for them should be on football, getting better, maybe learn how to tackle a runner instead of shooting past him to not sack a qb....maybe.
