Couple things;
* he was drafted in the 6th round (2024)
* 5th round pick is the highest I'm offering
* The article suggests they likely won't trade him until AFTER the draft ( doesn't make sense )
* If rumors are true, they are asking for a 3rd round....I'M out, move on

If multiple teams are in on him, they will probably get their 3rd. He is a hail mary as a starting QB

multiple requests and I bet they're "all from Dallas" to help raise the price up!!! Smart teams are only offering a 5th or worse, Jerry is thinking a 3rd or next years 4th

What does that have to do with anything? If Lance is comfortable being a backup and making $960k this year the Cowboys would probably be all over it.
1. Fans are stupid and I like to remind them of this every chance I get.
2. Why are we talking about trading for another project QB when we already did that and he can be retained for NOTHING.
3. Fans here thought he was a better option than Dak.... Fans will do the same thing with Milton if we get him.

A pretty good chance that Lance or Milton will be a Cowboy.
Either those two or they have someone in the draft they are targeting, which could be why the article suggests NE is possibly holding off until after the draft. I have to believe they will be looking to add another QB this offseason though.

The possible upside makes him worth a third to some teams but you have to have a means to let him get his reps, not stick him on the bench behind the guy you just signed to a record deal that you can’t get out of for at least 2-3 seasons.

Dallas re-upped their commitment with Dak when they restructured him.
there's really no "out" without severe dead cap for a while now.

I don't see the point of Milton. Just draft and try to develop a QB. He had a good game last year. Maybe he's legit, or it was an one hit wonder.
But to spend a 3rd and have no picks between the 2nd and the 5th is nuts, especially when once again they are banking on multiple draft picks to play as soon as this year in a role/starting level.

Wait they have Drake Maye and Brissett but are willing to give up on a "Highly Touted" Prospect for a Future 3rd.... Sorry if he cannot beat out those 2 there has got be an issue with him.

Well, IMO they are going to sink or swim with Maye. He's their top draft pick. If they can turn a 2024 6th round pick into a 2025 3rd rounder, why not?
Draft pedigree will give Maye a long leash.
