Is Jerry doing anything to make the job attractive to Payton? Your OC and DC are going to be forced on you. You are going to be told who plays and who doesn't. You will have no say whatsoever in the draft or free agency, and no say in who signs, who gets released, etc. You will basically have no control of anything. Hell, what's not to like??

I would do it just to get paid, but I don't see Payton being that kind of person. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so.

Peyton looks attractive until you see how he left the Saints then he looks kinda like Irv Meyer to me "Oooh we are 70 mill over cap and in need of several positions including QB....gotta run folks its been fun" Again i dont get some folks huge attraction to him and what you say has alot of truth to it as its Jerry's show and anyone who still questions this has to ignore many things over many years.

If Jerry wants Payton, he can get him no problem. Gonna have to spend the big bucks, but that should be no problem for a guy that claims to want to win more than anything.

I disagree. Even if Jerry is willing to trade whatever the Saints might want, that doesn't mean Payton has to accept it. He can continue to sit out. Notice one of his 3 requirements is "full control over personnel". Do you think he would get that with the Cowboys?

I have doubts he would even be able to pick his coordinators here, much less his starting RB
