Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips says that appearances to the contrary, he doesn't believe left tackle Flozell Adams plays dirty.

Tim MacMahon of ESPNDallas.com reports that Phillips stuck up for Adams, who has been fined $75,000 this year, including $50,000 this week for shoving Giants defensive end Justin Tuck in the back.

"I think he worries about playing the game and playing it well," Phillips said. "In my opinion, he's not a vicious player."

However, MacMahon notes that Cowboys players say Phillips is tougher on them behind closed doors than he seems when he's speaking publicly, and that when speaking to Adams directly, Phillips probably wasn't quite as easygoing about the shove, which drew a penalty that wasn't assessed because of a quirk in NFL rules.

And really, what kind of coach would Phillips be if he isn't upset with Adams? Even if Adams avoided costing the Cowboys 15 yards this time, he's probably one more personal foul away from getting suspended. Phillips can't be happy about the prospect of losing his left tackle just because Adams can't control his temper.

On purpose?

I remember I had a cousin that had one of those things, would make those little brownies or whatever they were all the time. I thought they tasted like crap but I don't care for brownies much so what do I know.:laugh2:

Getting?

It's been old. But, it's the course. Only the players can change it.

Where is the accountability, Wade? Suspend Flo, like a real NFL coach would and don't be such a push over! Show this team that stupid behavior on the field has consequences.

Awesome job by Wade for sticking up for one of his players. Cowboys v. Giants is about as big as rivalries get, so of course tempers are going to flare up. Wade is sending a message that the team is about intensity and that we won't back down!

I actually enjoy the fact that we got the perception now that some of our players are dirty. All we need now is for Carpenter to purposely try to end someones carreer. Nah, maybe that won't happen. LOL. Like Hos preaches in his sig: Embrace the Hate.

I don't know what's more predictable though: Wade sticking up for Flo "The Dirtbag" Adams or the media trying to spin it.

More than likely it was on purpose. Every doll and girlie toy my mom bought me, I broke.

I would do the whole makeup on the doll faces and then try to take their legs off. :laugh2:

I don't think I successfully baked any brownies in that.

I don't know why, but it seemed the boys got the cool toys.

I remember one Christmas my brother got one of those race track deals.

I got a doll or some nonsense. I played with his race track all day on Christmas and left my crappy toys by the Xmas tree.

Yes, I was an ungrateful child.

Isn't Flozell the guy who used to get in fights on a regular basis in Training Camp and would take his helmet off and swing it at the person?

That is a certifiable vicious nutcase to me.

I have been holding my tongue on this one for a while... no matter how good he is, or was...I support cutting Flozell Adams this off season.

I think he is one of those players that no matter what kind of talent he is, he hurts us because he does not have the mental capacity to help take this team to the next level of success.
