Dont start with those team achievements when categorizing QBs. You might as well do the Romo: 0-2 in the playoffs thing Cowboys haters do as well. Bottom line is as a QB, Donovan has done well without a career filled with playmaking receivers other than one and a half seasons with T.O. and still produced. His career numbers arent breath taking, but he keeps the INTs down and is a play maker. He spent most of last year still recovering from the ACL injury and gained his mobility and around the time he played us to the end of the year, he started to look solid again which is something we're gonna have to account for.

Dick Allen, Mike Schmidt, Charles Barkley, Allen Iverson, Eric Lindros,Scott Rolen, Randall Cunningham, T.O., Von Hayes, Freddie Mitchell, Rich Kotite, Ricky Watters and Ray Rhoads were all run outta town by the Fans, you can soon add McNabb to that list.

Sorry Chief... if you are going to make a statement(see below) then I can very much come back with how he is average at best now as he is winding down his career. Also how backups are coming in and being MORE effective than he is.

Sounds more like wishful thinking by the Philly hopeful. I cant stand the guy, but he's still been one of the best QB's this millenium and when healthy he's a top 5 QB(Yeah...I said it!). The Eagles would be stupid to let him go.

Then call them stupid... because he is going. The writing is on the wall... authored by Andy Reid and co.

I think most are talking about after this season, although if McNabb is as mediocre in '08 as he was in '07, I could see the change made sooner.

But I think 2008 will be McNabb's last in Philadelphia. With a big increase in salary, a young backup nipping at his heels, underwhelming results, coupled with an impatient fanbase, I think he's playing his last season for the Eagles.

Coming off an ACL injury, nobody expected Mcnabb to put up Pro Bowl numbers in 2007. It's not like he was at 100% during the season.

I think it's funny that Mcnabb is getting the blame for the Eagles stuggles and not making the playoffs last year. I can think of several times where the defense looked lost at there and ended blowing the game.

Your post is very amusing.

AI? Are are you kidding me? Seriously

Iverson has always been a fan favorite in Philly. You can look back at when he returned to Philly as a Nugget this year.

10 years of doing a GREAT job on defense while your QB pukes it away takes a toll.

The guy had it all.

  1. 3 NFC title games - choked
  2. A Superstar WR that allowed him to put up CAREER numbers - he couldnt share
  3. He has used a Race Card - pathetic! Even other black QB's wouldnt back up what he said
  4. His replacements are grasping the offense better than he has - hmmm.
Now.... are the above FACTS or HATE?

Be honest and I will respect your answer.

I love to see the " He choked in the 3 NFC Championship games " answers.

Did you watch all 3 games?

In 2001 against the Rams- He didn't play a bad game. The Rams were just the better team.

In 2002 against the Bucs- This is the only one I will agree with you on. He played the worst game of his career.

In 2003 against the Panthers- The play of the WR's was atrocious. Pinkston, Thrash, FredEx got completely owned by Manning Jr. and co

-----------------------------------

T.O. couldn't keep his mouth shut and was a cancer.

I didn't agree with him when race was brought up.

You're honestly think his backups are better than him? Really.

Yhea, but Freddie Mitchell wasn't particularly good, and I'm being kind.

Pro Bowl? Maybe not.

But not pedestrian numbers either.

I think it's funny that 19 TD's in 14 games is now acceptable in Philadelphia. A far cry from his career best of 31 in 2004. Wonder why that is?

Dont give me the poor baby responses for the losses in NFC title games... you wont hear it from me regarding Romo and the Cowboys losing in the last 2 years in playoffs.

TO couldnt keep his mouth shut.... BUT... he was brought in AND wanted to be brought in to help Philly win the Championship. For all intents and purposes he did his part. McNabb threw the SB away... 3 INTS.

His backups were NOT better.... but they seemed to allow the team to flow as a team. Garcia really made him look bad, real real bad.

Maybe because Westbrook has gotten even better since then?

He's taken some of the load off for Mcnabb.

Poor baby responses? I was telling you the truth on why they didn't win the games.

You seem to forget that Mcnabb did actually win the NFC Championship in '04, without your boy T.O.

Yes, he played pretty bad in the Superbowl.

Talking about the backups now. Doesn't matter if they flowed as a team. The backups in the end didn't finish what Mcnabb started. Garcia, Feeley all made mistakes that cost the team (ex. New England last year)

So much so that 5 of those 19 TD's were dumpoffs where Westbrook did all the work getting into the endzone.

More than that. Westbrook is the Eagles' offense.

This Cowboys fan took note of who the Eagles took off the field when the playoffs were out of reach - and it wasn't McNabb.

Westbrook is one of the league's most potent weapons.

You should cross your fingers that he doesn't wake up and realize how grossly underpaid he truly is.

:crossed:

:fact: The Eagles Offense hasn't been anywhere near as good without T.O..

Again, not to interrupt...but the eagles are going to win the SuperBowl this coming season.

Carry on...

I apologise, citizens and fellow Cowboy fans.

It's bound too happen, this is the year of McNabb!! Whoo-hooo!!

:D

I believe in Mcnabb to get us back to the Superbowl. He can still put up those record numbers.

Mcnabb still has a lot of game left in him. I mean, he was putting up record numbers in the first 6 games last year. The injuries are a concern, but I think they should have still drafted at WR.

Timbo2st;1397776 said:
No, they have Mcnabb for that.
You remember him, right?
He's the guy that lights up your poor secondary.

No, we're good.

Looks to me like you thought McNabb was gonna still be the man.

I got something to go with your fact alert. :D

Look at 2004... a record year for McNabb in more than a few categories.

You could make the argument that he may have put up:
  • more completions in 2nd year with TO.
  • more yards in 2nd year with TO.
  • more or as many TD's in 2nd year with TO.
