Ravens let go of Jim Zorn

After three tumultuous years, Jim Zorn is ready to get out of the Baltimore-Washington Metroplex.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports the Ravens “released” Zorn from his contract after one year as their quarterbacks coach. (That’s a nice way of saying he was fired.)

“It was not a fit on either side” according to Schefter.

You know he started with the Cowboys, that year TL cut him and Dallas had only two QB's going into the season.

I think they realized that his coaching fundamentals are very different from what most teams think of in regards to QB fundamentals. He wants the QB to stay low, for what reason I have no unearthly clue. And all that throwing of stuff at the QB in practice just comes off more like a gimmick.

He was also recommended to the expansion Seahawks by Tex Schramm or else that very well could have been it for Zorn.

Some call his methods quirky while others call it thinking outside of the box but whatever it is, it hasn't resonated with Harbaugh, Flacco and Cameron as anything vital so they said "C-Ya!"

Half of Seattle's team was made up of ex Cowboy players, through trades, or camp releases.

I think Zorn could use a break from coaching.
