REX RYAN A CHARGERS CANDIDATE

One name that quickly has emerged as a potential candidate for the sudden vacancy in San Diego is Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan.

Ryan, the son of former Eagles and Cardinals coach Buddy Ryan and the twin brother of Raiders defensive coordinator Rob Ryan, has spent the last eight years with the Ravens. He replaced Mike Nolan as defensive coordinator when Nolan was hired by the 49ers.

Look for Ryan to be one of the first guys interviewed for the job.

That would be a good sign for them IMO. Wish we had talked to him.

Jerry should've hired rex ryan. Why didn't he wait? Why did he hire a retread?
Wade's a yes man, a puppet. Garrett has no experience. Cancel the season.

Without a doubt if I were the Chargers, I would be all over this. They have a great offense and this guy is better at defense than Wade Phillips.

For some reason I get the feeling Norv would be a good fit.

Cameron was a Norv guy so the scheme/terminology might be the same.

Promote DC internally.

Better? Or the Ravens just have better defensive personnel.

Hmm, let's see now. The Ravens have Ed Reed at free safety, while the Chargers have...Marlon McRee.

I think we have our answer.

Chris McCallister over Quentin Jammer.

The Chargers lost a linebacker prior to the season due to a shooting and I think they lost another during the season due to injury.

Samari Rolle over Florence/Cromartie.
