SALISBURY MEETING WITH CBS EXECS

Our spies in Miami spotted ESPN's Sean Salisbury meeting with CBS muckety-mucks on Thursday night.

Salisbury apparently was attempting to be incognito, sporting a Red Sox cap.

The purpose of the meeting isn't known, but the obvious speculation is that he's talking to them about a j-o-b. Sean recently has been in hot water in Bristol. He was suspended for a week by ESPN last year, and it has been reported elsewhere that the infraction involved a cell phone and his Salisbury stake.

And just last week, Salisbury inadvertently (we believe) said the word "Jew" on the air, and then tried to claim that he actually said "chew."

Perhaps Salisbury is being eyeballed for a job as a game analyst, or maybe he's under consideration for a spot on the CBS pregame show. Or maybe one of the dudes wants to compare notes with him on cell phone photography. Or maybe they wanted to see him try to say with a straight face that he didn't say "Jew."

I was watching ESPN this morning and I was shocked at the size of Salisbury. He and Stink were on the fake field thing that ESPN does and I swear, he probably had 50 pounds on Stink. Maybe more. Made him look small. Schlereth has definatly lost some weight from his playing days of 285, 290 but I bet he still goes a good 250 easy. I mean, he looked small in comparison to Salisbury.

There are always reports of him out drinking or being spotted in a bar, so that probably explains the 50 pounds.

He said on Mike and Mike that he got up to like 288, but had lost 30 lbs or so. I think he's in on Dan Marino's Nutrisystem deal.

According to a post on Extremeskins, a guy said Salisbury does a radio show from Vegas once a week at which he is a bartender. Anyway, the guy said Salisbury gets blitzed at the bar every week. This may be part of his problem. The story seemed very believable.

That plus Schlereth definitely screams former steroid user to me. He was always in that undersized O-lineman mode, and might have needed a little "help" to get up to the 285 or whatever he played at...

JMO of course.

Translation: He's pretty good a taking D-linemen knees out.

It amazes me that Salisbury can still be around ESPN after that crap he pulled while they practically black listed Harold Reynolds for something totally insignificant.

DMQ, .. your sig pic always reminds me of the movie "Deliverance" :laugh2:

They dumped Rush Limbaugh after one incident as well, they should've known better, why would you hire a Rush limbaugh if you didn't think he was going to speak his mind for better or worse?

I suppose they would be upset if Michael Moore began making up conspiracy theories as a sideline reporter.
