It’s now officially the time to look for the unofficial clues regarding the date on which the NFL will release the 2013 schedule.

And the biggest clue comes via Mark Durant of the Greenfield (Mass.) Recorder, who has passed along to PFT that he spotted among NFL Network’s online listings a Schedule Release Show to be aired on Tuesday, April 16, at 8:00 p.m. ET.

Landing nine days before the draft, the timing makes sense. Also, Tuesday has become the usual day of the week on which the NFL pulls the sheet off the new schedule.

Can't wait to open the season on the road and end it on the road again. Our bye will come week 4 too. Perfect once again.

I am excited for this. Planning to watch Giants on the road this year and once the schedule is out, I will work on my travel arrangements.

Order of the games makes no difference to the team, I can assure you. The only thing I'm sure the players will check when it's released is the Sunday game before Turkey Day, which many players past and present have said is an advantage to be played at home.

Also the three other East teams are waiting like Powerball winners to see who gets to host the season ender against us. That team has been almost supernaturally predetermined to be a guaranteed contender lately... because that final game has to mean something.

Seems like the last couple of years the Boys get their bye after week 3 or 4 and the Giants get theirs around week 8 or 9. Hmm, wonder why that is?

Cowboys strength of schedule 2012: 0.502 (#11 in the league)

Cowboys strength of schedule 2013: 0.480 (#24 in the league)

That's an improvement I suppose? Not that it really matters.

Agree, right now the schedule is not as bad as last year looked but teams take on a life of their own as the season unfolds so we'll see.
