We ignored the link the first time a reader sent it. But when it came the fifth time, we decided it made sense to address it, even if it meant to dispute it.

The Eagle-Tribune of North Andover, Massachusetts reports that the lockout is “almost over.”

Wow. I had initially thought they were probably just picking up on the "we're close" news that's we've been hearing for a week now, but if the quoted part is true, then this sounds like a legit update.

A guy I know says both sides are compromising and he believes they will get it done. He's the one who told me that negotiations had ended but would resume really soon. I think they are probably already planning a final negotiation session for the coming days. I hope he and whomever the source of this article are right. I personally will not celebrate until it is actually over.
