Steelers acquire J.J. Wilcox in trade with Buccaneers

Wilcox signed a two-year contract with the Bucs this offseason, but Tampa Bay decided he was expendable after setting its initial 53-man roster yesterday. Wilcox previously played four years with the Cowboys, who drafted him in the third round in 2013.

That didn't take long ..
One team's flaming hot garbage, is another team's, and then another team's, eventual treasure.

I enjoyed watching the big hits...so it is the best of both worlds for me as the AFC games that I get on TV each week ALWAYS feature Pittsburgh...so, I can watch his bigs hits and not have to stick around to watch the whiffs

Wow....never seen this happen but I guess this is equivalent to being cut after being signed which happens.

This just goes to show you that NFL teams have no loyalty to their players...this is why I don't mind when players try to make everything they can considering they're putting their bodies on the line for these teams.

Wilcox had a few teams interested---he likely joined the Bucs and received a lot of empty promises. Now he is with a team that he didn't choose.

I didn't think he played well– Better than previous seasons but a JAG none-the-less.

Obviously the Bucs didn't think he was much of a safety either.

Obviously..they didn't realize they had a chance to upgrade to a pro bowl safety instead.
