PFT:Trevor Lawrence has labrum injury in left should, will need surgery

Yeah. Kind of.
I'm not wishing injury, or anything malicious, but I don't root for other team's players.
I just don't.
However - in the era of free agency (a quarter-century old now - and will remain a permanent fixture in the NFL) - other teams' good \ very good \ great players can become our team's players with the right offer.
Example.... many CZers clamoring for Jones & Jones to go all out for Giant's DE Leonard Williams.
Similar to your coworker / friend/ neighbor's GF\BF-SO-FWB (even a spouse). You couldn't stand to be in their company when attached to someone in your circle. But when the split happened - that person suddenly was the Holy Grail.

They work their way to this team, my thoughts and desires will change.
I'm a man of free thought.

If it was his right shoulder he'd be our 2nd round pick.
Will Sampson is my dude.
Like for real. One of the few people I wish I could have met.

I first saw him in Firewalker. His final real film acting credit.

Then I saw him is so many great and not-so-great films later ( #Poltergeist2 ) and I loved him in every one.

I'm a heavy advocate for Native Americans because of him.

He really moved me in Cuckoos Nest. I was pretty young but I think I understood how powerful his performance and his situation was.

Trevor's non-throwing shoulder, but he will not be able to do football-related activity for close to three months. He will not be able to sleep on a bed for two months, only on a Lazy-boy. He cannot turn in his sleep, as labral surgery involves drilling holes in the gleno-humeral cavity ridges and placing sutures through the holes to tie down the torn labrum. He will be locked down for three weeks with no movement in his left arm.

If this were his right shoulder, he could have fallen out of the first round. Many professional throwers lose velocity when they have this operation. There is also the reocccurence if one of more of the repair sites fails to hold.

So for Trevor's sake, take it slowly. He will not be able to recover enough to compete to match Justin Hebert's rookie performance.

Drew Brees is a miracle man. No one ever came back from his right shoulder total losss labral tear. He had 15 holes drilled in the ridges and had 15 sutures used to tie down his torn labrum.

No golf for 6 months! But this should not present any long term problems. Doctors have gotten really good at this kind of surgery. I am more concerned about La'el Collins' s hip.
