This year, Cowboys defensive end (formerly linebacker) DeMarcus Ware says the Cowboys will be better. That’s what he told Erik Kuselis in an interview that ran on Friday’s edition of Pro Football Talk.

So does that mean they’ll be 9-7?

“We will not be .500,” Ware said. “We will not be .500 like the last two years we’ve been, I can tell you that.”

What was that comment Ware made on the Romo contract extension, 'put up or shut up'? That's how I feel about this guarantee. I don't care too much to hear him talk about it, go lead your defense into some key 4th quarter stops and be about it.

I like this comment much better than the one he made last offseason during an interview with Lindsay Rhodes. She asked him about Super Bowl appearance and he replied, "Oh, we'll get there someday."

He sounded so lackadaisical and nonchalant about it. At least this shows a little urgency.

I was thinking the same thing. I've been barely able to live with that market rate extension we stupidly handed out to our best offensive player. Sigh.
