Exactly, they paid him a lump sum of his guaranteed money making it much easier for another team to justify trading for him. Nobody was going to go after him when he had that much guaranteed money left on his deal.

The rub is that Haynesworth doesn't want to be a team supportive player and fill a nose position in a projected 3-4 defense being brought in by Shannahan. Haynesworth wants to be traded...
