DALLAS COWBOYS PRESEASON ONE-LINERS
Posted by Michael David Smith on August 17, 2008, 12:19 p.m. EDT
RB Felix Jones looked like a good duel threat in a loss to the Broncos.
Overall, the starters on both sides of the ball turned in a pathetic performance.
Said CB Pacman Jones of getting beaten by Broncos WR Brandon Marshall, “He got me. I wanted that one real bad. I want to get back to where I was.”
Still, Jones said, “I felt a lot more comfortable than last week. I worked extra on my tackling.”
Said QB Tony Romo, “We definitely have things to work on, but there is still some time for that.”
Added owner Jerry Jones, “We’ve got a lot of work to do.”
Backup QB Brad Johnson was one of the few bright spots.
WR Miles Austin suffered a sprained MCL.
Said coach Wade Phillips, “I’m not happy overall. Defensively, we set the tone which was a bad tone because we didn’t come after them.”
Said LB Bradie James, “We’re not ready to play the season.”
