The only way calling for his firing could ever be sensible is if he somehow was trying to cause tampering, which would obviously require some elaborate setup that the team exec would have to be stupid enough to fall for. Nothing close to that happened here.

Here's my take on it:

Coles -- Whined in NY, came here. Whined here. Traded back the the Jets. Started whining. The common denominator? Coles and Whining.

Arrington -- yeah he hates the Skins -- wait a sec, isn't he currently covering the Skins for Comcast? I could have sworn I saw him praising the Skins...interesting

Pierce and Clark -- were mistakes. Pierce blew up -- and wanted more then Marcus Washington -- in retrospect he was worth it. But after 1 year? The staff wanted to see him do it again. I never heard Clark say a bad thing about the Skins mgmt.

Yeah the Skins have made mistakes. Big ones. However no organization is exempt. I mean it's not like the Cowboys ever make colossal blunders...Stephen Jackson...Mike Vanderjagt...Joey Galloway...JJ's pitchers-turned-QBs...Ryan Leaf...
