Football is back. Which means that the dart-throwing process of picking games is back, too. This year, the target is smaller. The lighting is poor. And the tips of the targets are dull. No offseason program. No joint practices in camp. No preseason. It all adds up to having no idea what will happen, especially [more]

Cowboys (-3) at Rams

MDS’s take: Dak Prescott will be on a mission to show this year that he deserves to be paid like an elite quarterback, and he’ll add a few million to his eventual long-term contract with a big showing on Sunday night.

MDS’s pick: Cowboys 31, Rams 23.

Florio’s take: Four years after the Cowboys and Rams kicked of L.A. 2.0 with a packed house at the Coliseum, they’ll christen SoFi Stadium before a crowd of crickets. That actually could help the home team, because the place could have been overrun by Cowboys fans. It won’t help enough.

Florio’s pick: Cowboys 30, Rams 21.

Cowboys win in a blowout. The Washington Football Team is going to upset the Eagles. It's such an obvious pick. I know they're a dumpster fire but the Eagles are worse right now with all those injuries.

Werder said today that the Rams have won all 3 openers under McVay and have averaged 36 points.

Well Werder did pick us to go to SB...;)

I just tend not to put too much into what anyone did last year let alone 3 or 2 years ago. I expect a tough close game vs the Rams, but who they beat last year in week 1 or 3 years ago in week 1 is irrelevant and has no bearing on what will happen Sunday Night.

The Washington DL against that disaster of an OL Philly has will be a factor.

Not sure if Haskins can make enough plays though to pull it out.

I have Dallas losing week 1

this team has went to the playoffs the last 3 times we've started 0-1

This is my thoughts too.

With a real head coach like Ron Rivera and all Thad defensive talent. I think the skins defense will be tough.

I just don’t see their offense putting up enough points to win many games. Unless Haskins takes a huge leap and becomes one of the next great QB’s. It’s feasible given his talent level. But not likely.

I would think they would be in the running for Lawrence, but man they have some dudes on defense that can ball....

They still may get there and we DONT want that.

Give that man 6 months to scheme and it’s amazing what happens. Having Kupp back is huge for Goff. Going to be too much confusion in the secondary for Dallas in this one.

not gonna lie, these 2 facts have made me a little nervous. I was on the fence as is, but jeez. I’d say Dallas and LAR are on the same level of greatness. They both have serious potential, but it can go either way... I can’t predict this game at all...

if our Dline doesn't fare pretty well against their Oline, our prospects for the year not just this game are less than we've been led to believe.

But until proven otherwise, I'm going with both our lines to win which should lead to a victory. (our O line just needs to slow down Donald and run plays that go away from him. rest of their d line is pretty average)
