No link, straight from the magazine.

Romo #6?

Witten #4?

Please.
agreed, I wouldn't put Palmer, Roethlisberger or Brees above Romo.

Ditto on Gonzalez Gates and Winslow above Witten.

Romo's short career (started only 26 games), undrafted status & not winning a playoff game/Dec slowdown are held against him despite IMHO that his play the rest of the season is so much better then the other 3.

Do think Brees & Palmer are good QBs but admit I haven't seen them play much at all; not particularly impressed by Roth's play. Roth holds the ball way too long whch doesn't help his OL. Don't know if his WRs (except Hines Ward) aren't very good/can't get separation or Roth has difficulty either reading defenses or isn't decisive.

Romo exciles in reading defenses (except exotic defenses he still faces) & is very decisive in his decision making. Both areas along with his extraordinary quick release, mobility & accuracy on the move are frequently cited as reasons why he's so good so soon. Also have heard Romo makes his read many times at the LOS because he has a feel/anticipates where the defenders will be when he hits his WRs at a certain spot. Obviously that could lead to more INTs when he's wrong or a little off in his accuracy. Increased field experience will improve his high INT ratio to TDs. A playoff or SB win will dramatically ensure the so called experts move him into elite status with Brady & P.Manning IMHO. BTW: Believe the 08 Huddle Report already ranks him as 3rd best QB in the NFL--ranking him as 11th best player over all in the NFL. Only TO is a higher ranked Cowboy then Romo.

Palmer was VERY good but has not seemed to be able to shake off that Knee injury. Of course the lousy state of the Bungles may have something to do with that. realistically, I would be hard put to say that Romo is better then Palmer at the moment. Brees- he is up and down a little too much but he certainly had a great 2006. But then he stunk it up at ythe beginning of 2007.
Roths actually looked to be more of a complete QB last year but i would not say he is as good as Romo is.

I don't like Brees above Romo, because the only thing Brees has done, is won a few more playoff games. He had one good year with the saints, and one bad, he had 3 sucky years with the Chargers, and one good.

Romo has had one and half seasons of good ball play. Maybe another year of great play, and a playoff win, and he'll be up there with Manning (P.), Brady, and Palmer
