And what the heck are the Cowboys doing? They open camp with a rock show from Los Lonely Boys? What an odd spectacle. Jerry Jones is either brilliant or terribly gauche. Sure, the NFL has become a ridiculous showcase, but are we really at the point where bands play to signify the start of training camp? Oh, Jerry. I give you marketing points, I guess, but this has gotten out of hand methinks.

This guy should be bashing Danny Synder for charging fans to watch Skins practice instead of criticizing Jones for entertaining the fans.
Los Lonely Boys are Cowboy fans also...it all goes together.

I thought it was great event myself say for some lack of what can and cant be brought in like a stroller...that ticked me off...but none the less the band was great and so was everything else...

Mr. Florio needs to realize that playing for the Cowboys is akin to BEING a rock star in the state of Texas...

Frankly, I don't give a rat's arse what he thinks. I don't always agree with Jerry, but as a marketing major, it's easy to see that he is brilliant...

Methinks Mr. Florio is clueless as usual...

Now, we know you read our board, Mike... are you carrying the torch for the likes of Skip Bayless and his yellow journalism?

Inquiring minds want to know... ;)

Crap... I sure as heck did...

My apologies to PFW... ;)

It is just a celebration of entering into a new season. It adds to the startup atmosphere and it is a tribute to the fans as well. No big deal and actually a nice gesture.

Jerry the Entertainer!

Too bash Jerry makes you lower than cripple crickets butt.....

I think this was a good move by Jones. It is all part of getting the fans excited and when it comes to football I don't think anyone wants to win more than Jerry Jones.

Jerry is definitely a rock star. During the event, he stopped by our table to say hi and a huge crowd gathered. Fans were pressing up against a nearby fence to try and get his autograph. It was almost scary. Thankfully security came by to help Hurricane Jerry move on to the next table. When the crowd died down moments later I turned to my wife and said, "Elvis has left the building."
