EDIT: This isn’t strictly draft related, so if a mod thinks this should be in the fan zone… then please place it there. To me though, anything the team does in FA is directly tied to the draft and who they take.
Personal Note: Of these guys, I wouldn’t mind seeing Datone Jones (6-4, 285) in Dallas. I liked him in his draft and he shouldn’t cost a lot at this point. He’s the kind of guy that Marinelli might get some good out of in a rotation. He has great twitch and movement for a guy his size. At just 27 years old (He is 26 but will turn 27 before the season) he still has some untapped upside, perhaps.

RS-WR Cordarrelle Patterson: Remember when Patterson, the 29th overall pick in 2013, burst onto the scene as a rookie with 2,020 all-purpose yards and nine scores? We'll forgive you if not, as the soon-to-be 26-year-old height/weight/speed freak averaged just 1,234 total yards, with seven combined touchdowns over the following three seasons despite appearing in all 48 games. The Vikings' increasingly thinning patience with Patterson's inability to learn the playbook and nuance of route running meant he was phased out of the offense, not relentlessly schemed around, as an immensely explosive player, even one who processes things slowly, should. His next team already knows it's getting a Pro Bowl returner, but in the hands of the right creative offensive mind, he can still be much more. (AP Photo/Phelan M. Ebenhack) — Phelan M. Ebenhack
OLB Datone Jones: Players who can affect the quarterback in different ways will always be at a premium. Jones, the former 26th overall pick, who turns 27 in July, has produced with a hand down and on his feet, tallying 24 QB hits from 2015-16 — No. 2 on Green Bay — following his move to outside 'backer. Jones has strength and athleticism, just not top pass-rush instincts to close the deal. There's value in simply being disruptive, but it's certainly possible a team other than Green Bay, which could undergo a sea change on its edges this offseason, is convinced it can help Jones put it all together.
