I don't think he mailed it in at all, he just got beat but he also played well too. Our QB's had plenty of time to throw and TC ran threw some nice running lanes. He's a backup right now, not a starter but fans want him to play like a starter, it takes time and he's coming along well....

I agree. We should not be so quick cut ties here. Over the past several seasons, there have been posts suggesting we cut ties with - Flo Adams, A Gurode. As well a questioning signing - Kosier, L Davis and M Columbo. That's the entire starting line. Developing/evaluating o-line is more complex than watching the pre-season games and isolated regular season game play.

Free looked good in the preseason.

No, he's not Walter Jones and yes, he did have some mental lapses, but he looks to be a pretty solid backup to Flo and he looks to have improved from last year.
