PFW: Top 100 Draft Prospects Regardless of Position

They have Fairley at 14. Phil Taylor at 39, if he's there at 40 I'd consider him.

I am surprised with a lot of these rankings.
but thats what makes the draft interesting

Stay the heeeeeccccckkkkkk away from Phil Taylor. Just trust me.

Why? It looks like he was breed to be a 3-4 NT. If hes available in the 2nd it would be a no brainer. His maturity problems apparently are in his past, evidence of the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll award he won in '09. You cant hold 1 fight against a college student, it happens to everyone in their life. He just got caught.

JUst curious. He has Carpenter from Alabama as #40. How come he hasn't received any mention as a candidate for us in the second?

It is interesting. Two players that come to mind for me

Winston Justice the media liked him and he fell because the teams thought he was soft. Many were excited and wanted to trade up for him. The teams were right

Jason Witten he fell do to speed? The media loved him though and I was shocked he was there in the third round, much less the 4th.

I think he's better than most thought. Mayock said the guy impressed him in drills so he went back and watched more tape of him and he liked what he saw.

That's Mayocks big thing if a guy does better or worse at drills and combine stuff most scouts then go and watch more film of a guy. To see why he didn't flash more in games, and why he looks bnetter in games than drills.

Technique, scheme?

Gosselin said the same thing, that Carpenter has really flown up draft boards and might not even be there at 40 for us.

I have liked him alot because he played LT at Alabama and played it quite well, he could easily slide to RT in the NFL and play LT in a pinch, and there are some reports that teams see him as a guard too. I think he's one of those guys that might not ever be a probowler but will be a solid 10 yr starter. He'sm also been extremely well coached at Alabama.

Agreed. I never understood why he was being projected as a 3rd, 4th round draft pick. I'm no scout but watching him play, I see he's athletic enough to play LT and is technically sound. Seems like a pretty solid 2nd rounder to me

I think that is a pretty accurate list but Tyron Smith just has too much upside to pass on for Castonzo. Then take Phill Taylor with 40.

Or take Fairely at 9 and your OT later.

Why? Because he's fat? Look I didn't even know WHY he was kicked out of Penn St. All I know is what I was told by someone VERY close to the situation, and was with him every day for his two years on the practice field at Baylor.

I was told he has a ton of potential, but that he'd never seen a player who loafed more in his life, and disappeared during games the way he does. He did say that Taylor has all the physical attributes in the world though. Hey, maybe getting millions of dollars will motivate him to start trying a lot harder though right?
