If McIlroy wins this, then you can classify him as being officially "On Fire".

Good news for Tiger is that he won't have to worry about his back affecting his golf game this weekend.

Rickie Folwer is a beast this year. Top 5 in every major (5th at Masters, 2nd at British, 2nd at US) and just took the sole lead in the PGA.

Rory wins.

You want another reason why Tiger doesn't catch Jack?

It's this guy.

Rory is a beast. Watch at for Fowler though. I could see Rory and Rickie having some memorable showdowns over the next 15 years. Finished in the top 5 at all four majors this year. He won't challenge Rory but he can make things interesting.

rickie is a beast as well...him and phil together was awesome to watch...the young lion with the older lion.

this tournament was so good you hated for anyone to lose.

jordan spieth is another one along with many other younger talents to watch for.

You guys have said it all already. I agree with all of you 100%. Changing of the guard, no doubt. And Rickie, Jordan and Rory should have some epic showdowns next year and for years to come. I really hope Tiger gets his game, and his head, straight.

It will be interesting to see if Rory can keep it up and handle all that comes with 'being expected to win'

Great drama, no doubt.

Rory is the new Tiger -- he hits shots that others can't, like the approach from 280 on #10.

The other guys know that, and it can get in their heads a bit, so they may try to do things that they can't. Rickie fell victim to that when he tried to fade the ball into #14, when under pressure he should have stayed with his draw.

Rory will be in double digits in majors. He's the only one out there who can overpower a tough course like Tiger used to.

Extremely bold prediction there Doc. I agree that Rory is playing out of his mind and is hitting Tiger like shots with extreme accuracy and distance. But..........he's a looooooooooooooong way from Tiger's success.

It too bad Tiger is hurt so much now. It would have been awesome to see him duel it out with this gen of golfers.

Agreed. I'm starting to worry about him. His body has been betraying him for a few years now. It's amazing that he won 5 events last year and was the POY, when you think about it.

I agree, that was as fun and dramatic as any tournament I've seen in awhile. I'm not normally as fired up about the PGA as I am about the other majors. But that was really special. And that last hole added some bizarro factor to the whole thing.

That's true. The expectations on him have gone up drastically after this last month. The lead up to the Masters next spring will be really intense for him.

But man, he deserves a huge amount of credit for how he won his majors this summer. He didn't blow away the field like he did in his first two. He really had to grind it out when things weren't all going his way. It was really impressive toughness and patience on his part. He looks like a much more mature player at this point.

Rory played great congrads to him on yet another major. As for Tiger, I think Tiger will get a few more majors before his career is over at 38 he still make it happen. Phil is 44 and I think he has a couple of Majors left in him. I think Tiger rushed to get back and that was a mistake. Tiger may never reach the level he was at one time but I think he has a lot more left in the tank.

I agree, but he needs to get legitimately healthy....mentally and physically. What's amazing is how good Woods still is, even though he's so far from top form. But like you said, Phil is still playing at a very high level and he's 6 years older than Woods. There is time....there is hope.

Right now I think it is more physical than anything else. I think the desire and the fire is still there. Tiger had the procedure 3 months ago and then goes jumping into the fire which I think was a mistake. I think right now he needs to focus on getting fully healthy and get his swing going. If he does that then I think he will be a major factor. Again I don't think he will ever match his prime but he still has a lot of golf left in him.
