He’s the one coach I wanted gone through most. Followed by Moore. Would love to have the west coast offense here

To be fair both Dak and Burrow will hang in the pocket and hold onto the ball a loooonnnng time waiting for routes to develop. I did not watch the Cincy game all that closely but the times I did switch over to it it looked as though Burrow had time.. but the routes were not breaking open quick enough. Unlike our game where Dak could have waited 10 minutes and nobody was getting open on most plays.. The Bucs had our offense diagnosed, there's really no two ways about it. The DBs were standing there waiting for our receivers to run to them. Their alignments in the secondary were simply excellent.. Sometimes you have to tip your hat to the other guy. Bowles devised a brilliant plan to counter Moore's offense.. and it worked, because Moore refused to make the adjustments to counter what the Bucs were doing.

Philbin did not like Collins. He preferred Steele and pushed to be rid of Lael. 4 off sides and 1 holding call equals half of the 10 total penalties Cowboys committed vs Bucs.

Philbin never tried Connor Williams at center or OT. CW as 1st time center helped Fins dominate in the trenches.

Philbin did not like Tyler Smith pick and had both Ball and McGovern ahead of Tyler at OT and OG respectively all through TC and preseason.

Philbin is a complete hack with no eye to spot talent and even less ability to develop talent.

...we still got 10+ penalties. Sometimes it just simple tactics like false starts. Thats discipline issues.

Fire the guy, bring anyone. There are many OL coaches who would love a chance.

Eh, Williams complete whiffed and almost got Tua killed on a strip sack.

We should have never let Bill Callahan walk. He didn't get along with JG. JG should have been let go and we should have kept Callahan in 2015.
Jerry blocked him from interviewing for 2 offensive coordinator positions in 2014… Cleveland and maybe Baltimore. Jerry had also previously taken his playcalling duties from him. He left when his contract ran up in 2015… Didn’t have a F to do with Garrett!

Remember when Big Mac announced that he spent the entire 2019 offseason in the barn after getting canned by GB in November of 2018 and getting ZERO offers to coach after that season ended?

Remember how he supposedly studied up on the NFL (watching every play from the Cowboys' season, for example)?

Well all that studying up, somehow led Big Mac to conclude that multiple-time failure Mike Nolan was the best possible choice at Defensive Coordinator.

Additionally, had he been allowed, Big Mac would have no doubt hired Joe Philbin to be his Offensive Coordinator, but alas for Big Mac Jerry told him if he wanted the Cowboys' job then Kellen Moore was his OC and Big Mac responded by telling Jerry you got it boss no problem at all whatever it takes for me to get that contract.

So, of course, Big Mac just found another spot for Philbin (a guy who gravy-trained his role as Green Bay OC when they won the SB in 2010 into an unsuccessful 3-year run as head coach in Miami) as his Offensive Line coach.

And why would Big Mac hire Philbin out of all candidates to coach the OL?

The same reason he-hired Philbin to return to be his OC in Green Bay in 2018 (the year Big Mac got fired and Philbin succeeded him as interim head coach) and the same reason he hired Nolan; above all other considerations Big Mac wants coaches who will be as loyal and devoted to him as he is loyal and devoted to the man who writes his checks.

Whether these loyal and devoted coaches are any good is a secondary or tertiary concern to Big Mac.

Anybody ever checked the Big Mac coaching tree from his 13 years in Green Bay?
He is a YES man 100% ..That barn studying stuff was nothing but a PR stunt by his body Peter King

Wrong. It was very well known that they didn't get along. Few of the DC.com podcasters mentioned it several times on their show.

There were many articles about JG not being happy about losing play calling duties to Callahan. Jerry made JG do it and he wasn't happy about it. That's what started the riff between the two. Take your own advice and google it.

Lol wow! Callahan was promoted to offensive coordinator and given play calling duties for one season in 2013… supposedly to let Garrett focus on head coaching. He was stripped of those duties by Jerry following the 2013 season. The Browns and Ravens both asked permission to interview him for their Offensive Coordinator position for the 2014 season. Jerry denied them the interview citing lateral transfer. Again, easily looked up but hey, you want to believe Garrett’s the boogie man that’s your prerogative!

He ain't studying a damn thing. The barn is laughable now that he's been here 3 years and doesn't even know the offense. Some guru huh?

Go watch some of the podcasts from DC.com during that time. Nick Eastman and few others mentioned that they didn't get along. These are people who work in the same building as the coaches. I trust what they had to say than any canned articles written from bunch of BS Jones boys told the outside media.

The endless pursuit of scapegoats for the two jobs-for-life clowns running the show.

Fire any coach you want. They're not the reason this team flounders and, deep down, you know it.

Lol! I’m not interested in agenda driven podcasts and conspiracy opinions. Reality is, Jerry blocked him from interviewing for 2 offensive coordinator positions. He wasn’t resigning here after that regardless of his relationship with Garrett!
