Philip Rivers released

Not good enough for starter money anymore.
Not sure if he would want to be a back up, He already moved his family to Florida, nor sure if he would want to move again, try to get on in a team in Florida or retire.

Wonder if they'll hop Miami now? Or make them think that...

Older Rivers >>> Current Rivers

He probably won't be able to find a starting job.

Once he realizes that he might just retire.

There may be a few teams that would start him for a year or two while they find and develop someone else, similar to what Denver is doing with Flacco, but he certainly won't have many options.

He also threw 20 INTs and had a low QBR. I don't think anyone is saying yardage is a stand alone stat and that no other stat matters.
When I first read your post I though it said low IQ Qb - which applies as well!!

I thought the mention of the Colts in the video was an interesting option. I still think he's better than Brissett, and would buy time to bridge the gap between Luck and that next guy.
