BTW.. all those thinking "poor Cliff Lee", um.. are you delusional?
Cliff Lee has no one to blame but himself. He flat out sucked. By most accounts, that was the momentum shift in the series when they took game 2 from us at home and pounded him. I bet he's not wishing he was still with Texas, because it wouldn't have changed how poorly he pitched. If we score 4 runs with him on the mound, we should win that game.
As for the offense.. the Phillies have had more success than any team i've ever seen that didn't know how to play baseball.
Let that sink in for a minute, but they literally do nothing in regards to fundamental or situational baseball. Every player is literally up there looking for the big hit or a homerun. Its ridiculous. As much as i love Charlie, and think he's a great person no doubt, its time for him to go. I just wish he could take Howard with him.
Hope Rollins isn't back either, if he's not going to change his approach, which its pretty clear at this stage of his career.. he won't. Just awful on the offensive end. Embarassing.
What's worse.. i didn't see the heart or fight that this team has come to be known for. Didn't see it at all.
