This guy is lightning fast. Could he be the guy that puts this offense over the top? I mean I love our wr corps now, but adding a speed demon to this offense would be keeping every team guessing. Just my opinion. Thoughts?

Where is he projected to go? With these guys....i've seen them taken all over the drat. Percy Harvin, Teddy Ginn and Tavon Austin come to mind. In this league it just takes more than speed. And with how our receiving core is...I wouldn't invest anything higher than a 5th on a guy like this.

If they can get another stud o lineman in the first or second round go for it, otherwise this draft should be about defense and defense only.

If he's the BPA at a pick then you seriously consider him.

I think if WR is BPA when we are on the clock, you will see a trade down. I would wager a years pay on it.

I doubt we need another OL, that high, I say go big on the Dline or secondary and then take a QB at some point to groom

It's really difficult to say what they will do at 27. There may be a DT or DE on the board, but if Maranelli doesn't want him they'll do something else. I'm leaning towards a LB or CB at 27.

Not a natural pass catcher. Just fast. Small hands. Wouldn't see the field over street imo. That fifth receiver has to block.

Of the small, fast receivers, I like Jamison Crowder from duke. Smart, great hands, runs precise routes, can return kicks.

WR is not a hole we are looking to fill initially. He may be a consideration after our primary needs have been addressed.

Correct.

Do not get me wrong, would love a real speed WR in this offense. But we have to address the defense first.

Dorsett is good, but there are a couple of players like him in every draft that end up being mid round players (Mike Wallace, etc.).

I have a feeling he will be overdrafted, meaning going in the first two rounds to some team that craves WR help.

It depends on which round...agree?

I mean if a WR is by far BPA in the 5th, we might just take him.

I don't want to get cute at 27.. good players can be had, but probably not at the skill positions.

right now he is projected to be a 4th round prospect, but that can all change with all the upcoming activities. If he is a true sub 4.3 guy, he will not make it past the 3rd round. I can honestly see Philly, NE, Indy, KC or Seattle going all out for him.

NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah said Miami senior WR Phillip Dorsett "probably is going to be the fastest player in this entire draft class."
Dorsett (5-foot-9 5/8, 183 pounds) has 4.3 speed and a 24.2 yard-per-catch average. The Senior Bowl reported last month that he's been timed at 4.21 in the 40, though we're a little skeptical of that number. "Some guys can run fast, but they have to work hard to do it, which limits what they can do out of their breaks," an NFC player personneldirector told NFL Media. "Dorsett is more natural with his speed and movement." NFL Media analysts mentioned Antonio Brown, John Brownand T.Y. Hilton as possible comparisons for Dorsett. Dorsett scored 10 times on 36 receptions in 2014. Jan 21 - 8:32 PM

Mario Alford from WVU will give him a run for his money in the 40. He's more of a late round to UDFA type guy but he has that extra gear that most don't.

Dorsett is expected to go in the mid rounds, 3rd or 4th round more than likely...
