Haven't seen much discussion regarding the limited time we got to see Tanner carry the ball. From what I saw, the kid is a beast and fights for that extra yard. He always seems to be moving forward.

Really liked what I saw. I do think the FO will make a tough decision on Felix after the season. Meaning, no extension for FJ.

I definitely think you let Felix go and roll with Tanner and Dunbar behind Murray. I would not be against investing another pick at RB considering that Murray's punishing style of play may keep him out at least a few games every year.

he doesn't quite have the vision and cutting ability of murray or jones. he will have to do, but we are losing a lot with him in there.

I like the way he the way Tanner runs, he is a tough runner and seemed he was able to block ver well in some passing situations. What is may mean for Felix next year we will see.

The Cowboys need to draft another RB in the middle rounds of next years draft. Love Demarco when he is healthy. But you can't rely on him.

I really like Tanner as well. He was very productive with the Blue Raiders and he will be a workhorse for us as well.

I like Tanner as well. When you look at it last season Tanner looked pretty solid when he got the ball which obviously due to being the #3 back wasn't very much. He's not very quickly, but he makes up for it with his strength. Tanner ain't an easy guy to bring down at all. Excellent 3rd down back. He's also not bad in the pass game both protection wise and catching the football. He's no pro bowler, but the guy is just a solid and steady football player and a solid backup to have.

He's solid. Certainly good enough to be a rotational 3rd string RB. But ideally, i don't think you want him as your 2nd RB on the depth chart. Keep Tanner, but it would be wise to look for Felix's replacement in the mid rounds next draft.

Who isn't a "beast" nowadays?

From his limited playing time, i like the way he runs and it seems like he could be productive with a bigger role in the offense. I wouldn't mind seeing him get that chance, but im not expecting anything crazy yet.

Tanner is a quality NFL back. Not a game breaker, but a guy who if given carries will get results opposing defenses will have to respect. If this makes sense, he's more of a starting TB than a 2nd stringer because of his lack of change up ability.

He is much, much more than serviceable however. I liken him to a Willis McGahee type with little top end speed. I bet he averages no less than 4 a carry this weekend, but it won't be the running game that is the difference vs. NY, it will have to be Romo and the WR's.

Eh..everyone loves the backup...or third and fourth stringers when it comes to cowboy fans. He's been ok, but I do agree with drafting someone in the 3rd round next year.

he is a type of guy when you need 2 yards, he'll get you 3 1/2 yards.
And when you need 4 yards, he'll get you 3 1/2 yards.
Not necessarily a bad thing.

I like Tanners effort, but would like to see more of Dunbar.

I am very excited about what both Tanner and Dunbar being to the table. They may both turn out to be tremendous value additions when its all said & done. Nothing against Felix but I know what we get with him. I wont piss off the Felix lovers by revisiting any of my historic references to him. I will just simply reiterate that the endurance and excitement that I see in Tanner and Dunbar translate to my own personal excitement to see them both progress.

What they like about Tanner is that they don't lose anything in pass protection when he is in the game, therefore the playbook is more open when you (have to) play him.
