we all need to step on the brakes a bit,....were police constantly being called to Hardy's house because he was beating a woman? Did Hardy beat a woman because he was drunk or angry and did it out of habit? OOOORRRR did a drunk, cocaine-driven nut job woman get violent with him while trying to extort money from him and cause him to react, perhaps a bit too aggressively? If the answer either of the first two questions is yes, then perhaps we are dealing with a scumbag who regularly abuses women because they are dirt bags. If those answers are no and the second is yes, then perhaps we are dealing with someone who made a mistake.

Quite sure I remember the front page SI cover and accompanying article about Vick when he came back told us how our opinions of Vick told us about ourselves...i.e. if we don't forgive him then we are the evil ones.

I'll remember this the next time one of our fans or players wants to take a moral stance against something another player has done.

So for the record, according to that logic, ________ played with Greg Hardy, Josh Brent, Rolando McClain, Joesph Randle, Dez Bryant, etc. so they have no right to stand up and speak out against another player.

pretty much, they shouldn't be yapping about players on other teams

Its not about taking a moral stance, its about selectively taking a moral stance while ignoring the same thing when a teammate does it.

From your example above, Giants OT David Diehl got a bad DUI this year. If Travis Frederick talked to reporters after we beat the Giants and said "Diehl is a dirtbag, anyone who gets a DUI is scum", people would remind him that Josh Brent got a DUI and Frederick didn't make public statements calling him one of the worst type of people in the world. Frederick would be called a hypocrite - and rightfully so.

What about being out of the game for almost a year and a half is "quick"?

Agree. He hasn't played full real games in that long, so being less than conditioned, but still being someone who has contributed sacks, and pressures is ok with me.

The personal stuff has been vetted by the legal system, and the record expunged, so media and " holier than thous" enough already.
